"Change is inevitable if we are to survive from the brink of self-destruction through indifference to the profound negative ecological effect that humans have had on the environment we need to do the following
Be open to new ideas
Embrace positive change
Listen to those who are passionate about saving the environment, especially the young; they are the now and the future. They are our hope for the future.
Utilize the experience of the sector to support the change makers.
Think outside your own world, think big picture for all humanity.
Take Action; make an impact that brings these issues to the forefront of the focus of our decision makers."
"Be the change you want to see in the world." Mahatma Gandhi
"To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world."- Bill Wilson

- "I know DJ Cronin from my days at Australian Red Cross in Brisbane (2016). While working with him as a volunteer for almost a year, I saw many remarkable aspects in his persona.
DJ has an excellent ability to connect with people immediately. His communication is clear and reaches to every individual most effectively. He shows utmost respect to people from all cultures and backgrounds, tries to understand everyone's perspective and seeks to learn all the time. He is forthright in his opinions and a team man to the core. He goes out of his way to help people around him and always explores ways to make things better.
As a Manager and leader of teams, "Captain Cronin" commands a lot of respect and loyalty. To my knowledge anyone who worked with him has only positive things to say about him. Apart from being an excellent motivator, DJ is also astute at drawing the best out of individuals. He would allot tasks to people based on their skillset and strengths, particularly while setting up a process. Once the process got stable and did well, he would coordinate "cross training", in that he would make the expert of one aspect train the other members of the team and allot the task to multiple people. This helped a lot in managing the workload and nullified the dependency on a particular individual for expertise.
DJ took many initiatives in his workspace and usually was a trusted man when other departments were in need. He would inevitably involve his entire team in strategizing an event or a project, plan to the last detail and ensure that the execution was perfect. He would be ready for 'Plan B' for contingencies. He was brilliant in resource management and selecting sub-teams for specific agenda.
It has been an absolute delight and privilege to have known him both as a person and as a manager. He is a positive influence everywhere and an asset to any Organisation.
I strongly recommend him and wish him success in every venture." Raghu

- "I had the opportunity to be a part of DJ's volunteer team at Greenslopes Private Hospital in 2012-2013. I found DJ to be an exceptional coordinator and great mentor who genuinely cared for the people he worked with. I had a wonderful experience during my time at GPH and it had a significant impact on my desire to become a health professional, and no doubt DJ played a major part in this. I believe DJ to be of exemplary character and have no hesitation in recommending him for any position." Nipuni
- "I've had the opportunity to work both with and for DJ over the last decade and can attest to his professionalism and commitment to whatever he turns his mind towards. He is a particularly passionate advocate for all things related to volunteers, volunteering and the field of volunteer engagement / leadership and a true 'leader of people'.
I look forward to my continued connection with DJ and can recommend him as a quality person in the field." - AndyI've had the opportunity to work both with and for DJ over the last decade and can attest to his professionalism and commitment to whatever he turns his mind towards. - "I worked with DJ for around 12 months when I volunteered at the Australian Red Cross in 2017. I could not have asked for a better mentor to guide me through my time as a Development and Engagement volunteer. DJ is passionate, driven, and supportive. With his sense of humour, and personable yet professional nature, he successfully led a team of enthusiastic and productive volunteers.
From the perspective of someone who has volunteered with DJ, he is a fantastic mentor who genuinely cares about and supports all of his volunteers. He is incredibly knowledgeable about volunteer management, and skilled in leadership and community development. I certainly miss working with DJ, as he has given me a spark for volunteering that I will never lose!" - Dymphna
- "DJ is a great leader with his finger on the pulse of the community sector. His sincerity and passion for volunteer management is very inspiring and makes for a great guest speaker."
